Hope for Venezuela’s Forgotten Children

Poverty in Venezuela is deep-rooted and widespread. Many people have been forced to leave the country in search of work abroad — often with no choice but to leave their children behind. Without the protection of their parents, many of these children are left to fend for themselves, suffering from hunger and exposed to constant danger.

Border regions — such as the area around the migration corridor of San Cristóbal near the Colombian border — are considered high-risk zones. Human trafficking, forced prostitution, organ trafficking, and other forms of modern slavery pose a serious threat, especially to unprotected children. For many of them, safety, care, and a new perspective can mean the difference between hope and despair.

A small, dedicated group of locals — operating under the name Isaías 58 — has come together on a 7-hectare property near San Cristóbal. They are already providing essential aid: organizing food donations, caring for the sick and vulnerable, and offering educational programs. Now, they are preparing to begin work with orphaned children.

That’s why they reached out to us as an international aid organization. With your support, we aim to integrate this small initiative into our global L’ESPERANCE network — to give children in Venezuela protection, security, and a real future free from fear.

Our goal is to welcome the first children before the end of this year.

Because every rescued child who finds a home, love, and safety is a victory over darkness. A children’s village is more than just a project — it is a promise to the most vulnerable that they are not forgotten.
