Last summer, the Mose School in Nuremberg, Germany, organized a sponsored run for the Akaki Children’s Village in Ethiopia. The orphans were to be given a playground.

The primary school children gave their all and surprised the children’s village with a large donation.

Everyone in Ethiopia then set to work with enthusiasm:

An area was leveled.

The area was fenced off to keep animals out and protect the play equipment.

Shrubs were planted to beautify the area.

A house wall was embellished with a painting.

And as the play equipment is not available to buy in Ethiopia, manager Anita had it specially made for the children’s village.

On April 7, 2024, the time had finally come: the new playground was inaugurated and is now in active use. The children enjoy three swings, a seesaw, a slide and two climbing frames.

A big thank you to the children and sponsors of the Mose School. You have made the world a little better. No one is too small for that.
