Already in the 5th grade of elementary school Rebecca Tusubiira had expressed the wish to become a teacher. Our children’s village director Wilbroad encouraged the ambitious girl so that she could achieve very good academic results. Rebecca’s diligence was rewarded, as she received a merit scholarship from the Ugandan government due to her outstanding grade point average and will study teaching from the summer semester after completing secondary school.
Joyce Nakato also did well on her final exam. She would like to become a teacher for nurses. To finance her studies, she works in the children’s village as a social worker and takes responsibility for 14 children in our village.
In this context, we would like to thank our sponsors who, with their financial support, help to turn helpless orphans into people who find their own professional and personal paths.
